Frisco, Texas is located in both Collin County and Denton County in Texas.
When the Dallas Fort Worth area was being inhabited by early pioneers, many used wagon trails. Many used a trail called Shawnee Trail which changed to Preston Trail and is now called Preston Road.
Today if you travel down Preston Road, you will see the largest commercial development in the country that includes Stonebriar Centre, IKEA and every other retail establishment you have ever visited! This along with Frisco homes values have risen exponentially!
In 1990, Frisco had a population of 6,138. As of the 2000 Census, there were 33,714 people, 12,065 households, and 9,652 families residing in the city. And Today, according to the Census Bureaus latest information released, Frisco population is at 102,412! That is a 329% Jump since 2000. That is a lot of Frisco homes!
Frisco Texas has been deemed as the fastest growing city from 2008 to 2009 in the Country!
The homes for sale in Frisco have also seen a nice jump over the past couple years as well. Frisco houses were once rolled on logs to many owners dislike due to the new railroad line that was being built in town. In the 1990's they noticed what homes in Frisco might be when the population topped out at 6,138.
Now, Frisco homes can be purchased for as little as $130,000 new up to a couple Million if you can and choose to afford it.
In summary, Frisco homes overall have a very strong long term outlook due to the cities development, Frisco isd, the cost of living and all of the conveniences that Frisco possesses today.
