Frisco, Texas is located in both Collin County and Denton County in Texas.
When the Dallas Fort Worth area was being inhabited by early pioneers, many used wagon trails. Many used a trail called Shawnee Trail which changed to Preston Trail and is now called Preston Road.
Today if you travel down Preston Road, you will see the largest commercial development in the country that includes Stonebriar Centre, IKEA and every other retail establishment you have ever visited! This along with Frisco homes values have risen exponentially!
In 1990, Frisco had a population of 6,138. As of the 2000 Census, there were 33,714 people, 12,065 households, and 9,652 families residing in the city.
